The Ohio Young Democrats (OYD) are currently accepting chartering applications from local chapters who wish to charter with OYD for the 2021 OYD Convention.
To charter with OYD, each chapter must submit three things:
A listing of chapter officers
A listing of chapter members
A copy of your chapter's constitution
The membership and chapter officer listing should be submitted using the 2021 Chartering Spreadsheet. It is required that each member have either a phone number or email address listed. (If they do not, they will not be counted for voting purposes.) Email is STRONGLY preferred - so that we can make sure your members receive updates from OYD.
Chartering materials and constitutions must be submitted electronically to mikebrilloh@gmail.com by noon on Friday, May 7, 2021. If you submit your materials after the chartering deadline, you will not be eligible to cast votes at the 2021 OYD virtual convention.
The OYD vice-president of chapter building and president will review your chartering materials to ensure accuracy and will inform you if there are any issues.
At our virtual OYD Convention on Saturday, May 22 each chapter will be allowed one vote per ten members chartered. Each vote must be cast by a member in attendance at the convention. (Since it will be virtual, members must be on the call at the beginning of the business meeting on Saturday, May 22 to be counted for voting purposes.)
