2024 Chapter Chartering
The Ohio Young Democrats (OYD) are currently accepting chartering applications from local chapters who wish to charter with OYD for the 2024 OYD Convention on April 13th.
To charter with OYD, each chapter must submit three things:
A listing of chapter officers
A listing of chapter members
A copy of your chapter's constitution & governing documents
The membership and chapter officer listing should be submitted using the 2024 Chartering Spreadsheet (attached). The application must include a membership list of at least ten regular members containing the following information for each member: full name, current complete address, date of birth in month/day/year format. It is additionally required that each member have either a phone number or email address listed. (If they do not, they will not be counted for voting purposes.) Email is STRONGLY preferred - so that we can make sure your members receive updates from OYD.
All chartering materials (including governing documents) must be submitted electronically to Christopher Clevenger via email to info@ohioyd.org no later than 12:00 PM on Friday, March 29, 2024.
NOTE: Per the Ohio Young Democrats Constitution & Bylaws, any Chapter/Interest Group that does not completely submit all of the required chartering materials and required member information by the March 29 deadline will not be eligible to charter (or cast votes) during the 2024 OYD Convention. Applications (or corrections) received after the deadline cannot be considered for chartering until after the Convention has closed.
